[MHXX / MHGU] How to Quickly Farm Great and Deluxe Lagniapples

I sometimes step away from the latest titles and revisit older games, enjoying the nostalgic feel of their controls.

That said, in Double Cross, Lagniapples are actually quite important.
If you want a comfortable and smooth hunter life, it’s a good idea to stockpile a large amount of them.

In this article, I’ll introduce a fast and efficient repeat-farming method to collect Lagniapples.

Why Lagniapples Matter

Versatile Heavy Bowguns—Gaou, for example—consume items at an incredible rate.

For Pierce Ammo Lv1, you need:

• Huskberries
• Needleberries

While consumption is heavy, Needleberries are not sold in shops, and supply simply can’t keep up.
There are no dedicated farming quests either, so the only option is to slowly gather them through Argosy trades or harvesting.

The fast Lagniapple farming method introduced here is mainly intended to improve Argosy efficiency, so I hope you’ll find it useful.

  ①Accept [G2] Marshlands Gathering Tour
  ②Empty your inventory before departing
  ③Take a Felyne Transport Ticket from the item box
  ④At the very edge of Base Camp toward Area 1, deliver the Transport Ticket from your item pouch
  ⑤During the ~20 seconds between quest clear and return, fast travel to Area 1 and collect the Lagniapples

Quest to Accept
G☆☆ – Marshlands Gathering Tour

After picking up the Felyne Transport at the Marshlands Base Camp, head toward the exit on the right side of the map.

Move while preparing to deliver the ticket.
With the cursor positioned on the delivery point, use the patch of grass as a reference and deliver the ticket while moving.

Once you arrive in Area 1, head straight toward the acorns.

You should be able to collect them around this spot.

Lagniapple Gathering Point

Hold A to gather.
Once the gathering animation starts, keep holding A until time runs out.

If you bring Palicoes, they may help gather as well.

• Final Thoughts
  As mentioned in the previous article, the Marshlands Gathering Tour is the most efficient way to collect Lagniapples.
  However, the downside is that gathering quests do not advance Argosy trades, so you still need to clear regular quests—such as Kelbi or Shagaru runs—to keep trade cycles moving.
  You could also collect Lagniapples while hunting Khezu in the Marshlands, maintaining your supply little by little to avoid running dry.
  It’s a steady approach that may help you in the long run.
